ANAND BISHNOI

Anand Bishnoi completed a Diploma in Physiotherapy from SMS Medical College, Jaipur and Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation from SNDT University, Bombay, India. He also has done a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Biomechanics from Glasgow, UK. He finished his Master’s degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy with distinction from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT, and Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, FL. Anand has over 40 years of clinical experience of working as a physical therapist in various settings of general and specialized hospitals, teaching and research institutions, rehabilitation centers and private clinics in India, England, Canada, and the United States. Anand is among the first few therapists in Connecticut to challenge and pass the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialty exam in orthopedic physical therapy in 1994 and recertification in 2004. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor with Quinnipiac University, Anand has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in orthopedic physical therapy for 10 years. He also taught various professional seminars on orthopedic subjects including hip, knee, shoulder, and spine in England, Canada, and the USA. His special expertise includes manual therapy techniques such as Cyriax, Maitland, Mulligan, McKenzie, Kaltenborn. He specializes in surgical and non-surgical orthopedics, sports medicine and spinal manual therapy.

Anand lives with his wife in Wethersfield, CT. They have a married son who works and lives in New York City and a daughter who is a medical resident in Internal Medicine in New Jersey. Anand and his wife dedicate most of their weekends to volunteering for community work and temple activities. In his spare time, Anand enjoys reading, listening to Indian classical music and watching his favorite sport- cricket.
